About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and manage product inventory in various retail locations. The role involves merchandising and organizing product displays, maintaining backroom areas, and providing support to retail store associates and management.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Physical Demands

• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds
• Stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday
• Use a stepstool for some tasks
