Part Time Merchandiser - Morgantown, WV

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our celebrations products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, and more. Our goal is to make the world a more thoughtful and caring place by helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life's special moments.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Benefits

• Starting pay of $12.60 per hour with increases to $13.30 after 6 months and $14.00 after 1 year

Schedule

• Weekly average hours: 6 hours
• May increase to 16 hours per week around holidays

Physical Demands

• Working on the sales floor and backstock room
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds
• Standing, walking, stooping, and squatting throughout the workday
• Use of a stepstool for some tasks
