Part Time Merchandiser - Los Angeles, CA

About the role

As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you play a crucial part in our mission to help people celebrate holidays and special moments by making the world more thoughtful and caring.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Pay

The starting pay is $18.50 per hour, increasing to $19.50 after 6 months and $20.50 after 1 year of continued employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 7 hours, potentially increasing to 14 hours around holidays. Routes service multiple retail locations including 3461 W. Third Street, Los Angeles, CA, 90020; 3410 W 3Rd St; 1700 W 6Th St and 620 S Virgil Ave.
