Part Time Merchandiser - San Francisco, CA

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase our product line in various retail locations. The primary responsibility is to merchandise and organize product displays, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to use a stepstool as needed

Pay

The starting pay is $19.80 per hour, with increases to $20.90 after 6 months and $22.00 after 1 year of employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 12, with potential increases to 18 hours around holidays. Routes include 789 Mission St, San Francisco, CA, 94103; 145 Jackson Street; 170 Ofarrell St 6Th Floor; 399 4Th St; 298 King St; 1101 4Th St; 2300 16Th Street and 1800 Folsom St.
