Part Time Merchandiser - Harker Heights, TX

About the role

As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you play a crucial part in our mission to help people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life's special moments by making the world more thoughtful and caring.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, as training will be provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Ability to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to use a stepstool as needed

Pay

The starting pay is $12.20 per hour, with increases to $12.90 after 6 months and $13.50 after 1 year of employment. Flexible work scheduling is offered.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 10 hours, with potential increases to 15 hours around holidays.
