Part Time Merchandiser - Bay City, TX

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Merchandiser to help showcase and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, and more. This role involves independent service of retail locations, merchandising, organizing product orders, and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and with a team

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, as training will be provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends, the day before and after major holidays

Qualifications

• Physical demands include pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping, squatting, and using a stepstool

Pay & Schedule

The starting pay is $13.10 per hour with increases to $13.80 after 6 months and $14.50 after 1 year. Flexible work scheduling is offered. 401(k) with company match is provided.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 10 hours per week, which may increase to 12 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings.
