Part Time Merchandiser - Ashdown, AR

About the role

As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you play a crucial part in our mission to help people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life's special moments. You'll showcase your organizational and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebration products.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
• Work independently and with a team

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Schedule

The route services two retail locations: 297 Hwy 32 By-Pass E, Ashdown, AR, 71822 and 815 S Locust St. The weekly average hours are 4 hours, with potential to increase to 10 hours around holidays. Ideal candidates should be available during daytime hours, particularly Monday mornings.

Physical Demands

You will be working on the sales floor and backstock room. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures of up to 40 pounds throughout the workday. Standing, walking, stooping, and squatting are also required. A stepstool may be used for certain tasks.

Pay

The starting pay is $13.10 per hour, with increases to $13.80 after 6 months and $14.50 after 1 year of continued employment. Flexible work scheduling is offered.
