About the role
The Mental Health Navigator will support pregnant/expecting women/individuals, parents, and caregivers by providing navigation and referral support, facilitating emotional support and goal-setting sessions, leading psychoeducational groups, and collaborating with partners to connect participants to maternal mental health peer support.
Responsibilities
- Provide navigation and referral support for WIC, SNAP, Medicaid, housing, and utility assistance
- Facilitate emotional support and goal-setting sessions with caregivers
- Lead psychoeducational groups on trauma, maternal stress, and parenting challenges
- Document client engagement, barriers to access, and referral outcomes in a timely manner
- Collaborate with partners to connect participants to maternal mental health peer support
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with perinatal or family mental health (professional or volunteer)
- Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally-responsive practices
- Knowledge of Medicaid, public benefits, and community resource navigation preferred
- Experience with justice/system-impacted, parenting/pregnant, or underserved families is a plus
- Strong communication, documentation, and self-motivation to work independently and collaboratively
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $24 – $32 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Employment Type: Part-Time (approx. 20 – 25 hrs/week)
