Part Time - Member Consultant I or II (Personal Banker) - Pierce County Branches

Member Consultants are the heart and soul of WSECU. Every day, you dig deep to listen to what our members need and you go out of your way to make banking not only easy, but downright pleasant! You’re the go-to, one-stop shop for our members. Knowledgeable, empathetic and eager to help, you know your members by name and they know you!

We hire ahead of the need to ensure we have the best possible service level for our membership while providing learning space for our teammates.

Responsibilities

• Perform all branch functions including consumer lending, opening new accounts, and providing teller services
• Strive for and hit your sales and service goals, while keeping the member's best interest front and center
• Contribute to your team's successes and celebrate along the way
• Build and nurture strong relationships with your members
• Understand your members' journey, offering products and services to meet their unique needs
• Show empathy and lend a hand where your team members and teammates need it most
• Show up ready to learn and have fun!

Requirements

Current WSECU Member Consultants I, II, or III who apply will be hired in the same tier as you currently hold.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a financial institution or retail/service-related position
• Computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Willingness to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, including fingerprinting and a national criminal background check, and maintain and renew the registration annually

Qualifications

• For Member Consultant I: Two (2) years of college
• For Member Consultant II: Two (2) years of college

Skills

• Credit Union experience
• Experience with cash handling, lending, new accounts or a combination
• Experience with: Symitar, Meridian Link, Image Center, Application Xtender, and Coconut

Pay

• Target starting pay for Member Consultant I: $21.50 - $26.87 per hour
• Target starting pay for Member Consultant II: $24.05 - $30.06 per hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Saturday 9:15 am–2:30 pm. Part time, minimum of 20 hours per week and may be scheduled up to 34 hours per week, occasionally working more hours requiring scheduling flexibility based on business needs.
