About the role
The Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing high-complexity laboratory tests, including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance, often working with clinical staff and Laboratory Services team members. Responsibilities
- Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical duties with minimal supervision
- Ensure timely reporting of test results
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Collaborate with caregivers and laboratory staff to support patient care
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- Certification as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Scientist within 6 months of hire from recognized certifying bodies
Skills
- Preferred: 1 year of laboratory experience
- Preferred: NAACLS-accredited MLS degree
