Part Time Math & Science Teacher - 1-to-1 Education
About the role
At Brightmont Academy, we offer a unique teaching model where each student receives personalized one-to-one instruction. Since 1999, we've helped students in grades 1–12 achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Tailor lessons to individual student needs and learning styles
- Guide students to mastery using a gradual release approach
- Focus on building confidence and academic success
- Eliminate the need for lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading
- Enjoy professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching career
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology—anything that fuels your passion)
- Patience and empathy to support diverse learners
- A genuine passion to teach and inspire the next generation
- Proficiency in using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
- Ability to provide fingerprints (Arizona and Washington only) and pass a federal background check
Bonus Qualifications
- An advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise (nice to have, but not required)
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience
