About the role

Brightmont Academy offers personalized one-to-one instruction for students in grades 1–12. Founded in 1999, we are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

- Teach students one-on-one, adapting lessons to individual needs and learning styles. - Use a gradual release approach to build student confidence and academic success. - Focus solely on teaching without additional administrative tasks such as lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading. - Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills.

Requirements

- A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology—any subject that inspires you!). - Patience and empathy to support diverse learners. - A genuine passion for sharing your subject with students. - Proficiency in using Google Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS). - Ability to provide fingerprints (required for Arizona and Washington state residents) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications

- A teaching certification (though not required). - An advanced degree in a specific subject area. - Previous experience in one-to-one teaching.
