PART TIME MASCOT

About the role

The Syracuse Crunch are looking to add to their mascot team. The participant will work under the direction of the Community and Crunch Foundation Manager as well as the Promotional Team Manager. The mascot will be part of the Crunch Crew, greeting fans at the Upstate Medical University Arena, participating in in-game promotions, and helping maintain energy at all Crunch home games as well as community events.

The part-time mascot will represent the Syracuse Crunch at community events and home games, interacting with a wide range of fans while gaining experience working for a professional sports team.

Responsibilities

• Greet fans at the Upstate Medical University Arena
• Participate in in-game promotions
• Maintain energy and enthusiasm at Crunch home games and community events
• Represent the Syracuse Crunch at community events and home games
• Interact with fans of all ages

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older or have proper NYS employment certification
• Conduct and behavior that adheres to the organization’s core values, mission, and vision
• Must be good with children
• Able to improvise and be friendly, animated, and energetic
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to skate and have your own pair of skates is a plus

Schedule

• Work days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Scheduled home games and postseason contests
• For 7 p.m. home games, work begins at 5:00 P.M. and runs through 10:30 P.M. (schedule follows the same format for other start times)
• Summer availability is a plus

Pay

Hourly compensation for games and events worked.
