About the Role
Provide patient care under supervision, utilizing the nursing process to support recovery for inpatient rehabilitation patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with admissions and discharges
- Perform patient assessments
- Communicate changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs)
- Reinforce patient and family education
- Delegate tasks to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAPs)
- Document interventions and care provided
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
- Current LPN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- LPN-IV certification
- Additional certifications based on unit requirements
Experience is welcome but not required.
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform bending, reaching, and twisting movements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
