The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States, located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County. About the Role
The Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit, consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. This role is integral to our team-oriented and compassionate organization, where staff cite the team as their number one reason for working here.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy.
- Participate in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management services.
- Provide crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other hospital departments.
- Demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units serving varied populations, including adults and dually diagnosed patients in inpatient and partial hospital settings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, or a related social services field; licensure preferred.
- Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- TN LCSW or LPC licensure required.
- Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, and family therapy theory and practice.
