Part-Time Lecturers - Community Nursing
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Recent clinical practice experience
- Clinical education experience in higher education or a healthcare institution
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing must matriculate into a Master’s Program within 1 year or obtain NLN Clinical Nurse Educator certification within one year to be considered for re-hire per the Massachusetts regulation
- Graduate degree in Nursing from a Nationally accredited program
- Recent relevant practice experience
- Teaching experience in higher education or a healthcare institution
- Active RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility for RN licensure in MA
Qualifications
The Department of Community Nursing invites individuals interested in Part-time Lecturer (PTL) opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate level. Opportunities are available for clinical and didactic assignments.
Responsibilities
Part-time faculty are expected to engage in course-based continuous quality improvement/assessment per college processes and be committed to rapid pedagogical and other academic process changes as driven by environmental conditions.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences has an enrollment of over 700 nursing students, including traditional, accelerated, and RN-BS undergraduates as well as graduate students in Master’s, DNP, and PhD programs.
