Part-Time Lecturer Pool - Taxation (AY 26/27)

About the role

The Accounting Area in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding for teaching assignments in Taxation during the Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year, which begins August 17, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach taxation at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the following subject areas: multi-state taxation, international, individual, corporate, partnership, estate and gift, and/or reorganizations.
• Assignments are contingent upon class availability, scheduling, budget, and enrollments.

Requirements

• Masters degree in taxation or accounting, related discipline, and professional certification required.
• Demonstrate a strong teaching record and currency in professional field.
• Professional and/or teaching experience required.

Qualifications

• Education: Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department.
• Classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are provided in the posting.
