About the role
The Political Science Department offers a B.A. in Political Science with various concentrations and a range of undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments may include American Government, Public Law, Political Theory, and Comparative Government, potentially at multiple campuses.
Responsibilities
- Teach lower- and upper-division Political Science and General Education courses.
- Teach at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.
- Comply with the California State University policy that all faculty members perform duties within the state of California.
Qualifications
- Minimum M.A. in Political Science; Ph.D. in Political Science or J.D. (law) preferred.
- Some university teaching experience required.
Pay
Ranks and salaries are dependent on educational preparation and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
Schedule
Positions begin in Fall Semester 2026 (August 17) and Spring Semester 2027 (January 19).
