About the role

The position in the Engineering in Society Program is for their writing course, WRIT 340 – Advanced Writing and Critical Engagement for Engineering, which is the Viterbi version of the university’s advanced writing requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Teach WRIT 340 – Advanced Writing and Critical Engagement for Engineering
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Engineering in Society Program
  • Engage with students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities

Requirements

  • Experience teaching composition at the university level
  • Strong oral communication and technical writing skills

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred, but a Ph.D. is required
