Position Summary

The College is seeking part-time lecturers who are passionate about inspiring and teaching the next generation of Liberal Arts & Education Students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards

  • Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes

  • Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising

  • Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in the subject matter or closely related field

  • Successful Candidate must have or must possess:

    • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) or more years’ teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).

  • Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software.

Salary

$2,352 per contact/credit hour ($7,056 for a 3-credit course).
