Position Summary

Responsible and accountable for leasing apartments and providing customer service to ensure maximum occupancy and resident retention.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage telephone sales and apartment tours with prospective residents.
  • Follow up and establish rapport with prospective residents and current residents.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Present apartment community in a professional manner at all times.
  • Cook up and manage move ins and move outs to provide for an enjoyable experience for all residents.
  • Manage lease negotiations, assist with resident retention and manage the renewal process.
  • Aid in providing and maintaining excellent curb appeal.
  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures as set forth from HKP and the Compliance Department.
  • Write work order requests, follow up with residents regarding completed work orders and enter information into Yardi.
  • Aid in rent and delinquency collection.
  • Aid in providing and maintaining account information to the property supervisor and credit agencies.
  • Aid in resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations.
  • Supervise all neighborhood committee activities.
  • Assist in outside marketing and establish rapport with local businesses and community agencies.
  • Aid in office organization by filing and maintaining organized resident files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Prior Tax Credit experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to understand and respond to customers' needs, connecting them with the right solution; ability to market and sell.
  • Very organized, with a strong attention to detail; ability to stay on top of paperwork.
  • Flexible and able to shift priorities if needed.
  • Beginner experience with MS Office.

Training Requirements

Annually attend fair housing, section 42 and leasing classes. Ongoing professional development.

Pay

$17.00/hour, plus lease-up bonuses paid quarterly.

Schedule

20 Hours Per Week (Weekends Are Required)

Weekly payroll - Pay date every Friday!
