If you are new to teaching, consider our Teacher Apprentice Program (TAP). This year-long program offers aspiring teachers hands-on classroom experience under the mentorship of expert teachers.

Responsibilities

• The Admissions Associate will be an essential partner to the Director of Admissions in welcoming families as they learn about Archer, providing day-to-day support for the admissions process, and interacting with a variety of constituents including applicant families, current students and volunteers, Faculty/Staff, feeder schools, and other sending organizations.
• The History Teacher and Speech/Debate Coach will teach three classes of History, coach the Middle School and Upper School debate teams, and serve as a mentor.
• The Middle/Upper School English Teacher will engage girls in a purposeful, inquiry-driven curriculum that fosters critical thinking and life-long intellectual curiosity.
• The Part-time Learning Specialist Long-term Substitute will support student learning profiles that require learning accommodations and educational interventions, serving as a liaison between students, teachers, parents, and outside professionals.
• The STEAM Teaching Apprentice will foster a love for STEAM disciplines in middle and upper school students and have a strong background in teaching hands-on projects, 3D design and fabrication, physical computing, and shop safety.
• The Upper School Physics Teacher will support the latest research around how girls learn best.
• The Fitness & Wellness Teaching Apprentice will develop expertise in teaching athletics and human development courses, emphasizing mental health and media literacy.
• The Middle School Volleyball Head Coach will emphasize the core values of Archer Athletics including leadership, character, teamwork, and inclusivity.
• The Upper School Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach, Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach, Upper School Varsity Softball Assistant Coach, Upper School Varsity Softball Head Coach, and Upper School Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach will emphasize the core values of Archer Athletics including leadership, character, teamwork, and inclusivity.
• The Upper School Varsity Volleyball Head Coach will emphasize the core values of Archer Athletics including leadership, character, teamwork, and inclusivity.
• The individuals who make up the Archer community are unique in their stories and contributions. Collectively, they bring the Archer mission to life, empowering the next generation’s leaders and change-makers.

Qualifications

• The Admissions Associate requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in customer service or related field.
• The History Teacher and Speech/Debate Coach requires a bachelor’s degree in History or a related field, and experience in teaching or coaching.
• The Middle/Upper School English Teacher requires a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field, and experience in teaching.
• The Part-time Learning Specialist Long-term Substitute requires a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field, and experience in educational interventions.
• The STEAM Teaching Apprentice requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics, and experience in teaching hands-on projects.
• The Upper School Physics Teacher requires a bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field, and experience in teaching physics.
• The Fitness & Wellness Teaching Apprentice requires a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, and experience in teaching athletics and human development courses.
• The Middle School Volleyball Head Coach requires a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, and experience in coaching volleyball.
• The Upper School Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach, Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach, Upper School Varsity Softball Assistant Coach, Upper School Varsity Softball Head Coach, and Upper School Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach require a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, and experience in coaching sports.
• The Upper School Varsity Volleyball Head Coach requires a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, and experience in coaching volleyball.
