About the role
As a Part Time Lead Retail Trainer, you will manage and train merchandisers servicing greeting card departments in retail locations within a specified geographical area. This role focuses on training, development, and coordinating revisions.
Pay
The starting pay is $19.60 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (rates subject to change based on work location). After 6 months, the pay rate increases to $21.30 per hour. After one year, it increases to $23.00 per hour. A 401(k) with company match is available.
Schedule
The weekly average is 25 hours per week, with potential increases to 30 hours per week around holidays.

Responsibilities
Training
- Partner with the Field Manager to identify training needs.
- Communicate with new and existing merchandisers to schedule training, provide mentorship, and give feedback.
- Train on duties including servicing orders, inventory management, organizational activities, and seasonal tasks such as changeovers, display maintenance, inventory management, and outpost placement.
- Build strong relationships with store personnel while promoting the brand.
- Identify and arrange coverage for vacant stores within the area.
- Improve stores and ensure merchandiser success.
- Merchandise a small route of stores.
Revisions
- Work with the Field Manager and store personnel on major revision activity before, during, and after setup.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all fixture types across accounts and build fixtures as needed.
- Understand planograms, cabinet diagrams, and other revision-specific materials to execute revisions successfully.
- Assign tasks and manage a team during revisions to complete the job.
- Maintain constant communication with the Field Manager throughout the revision process.
Requirements
- Training and supervisory experience preferred.
- Retail or merchandising experience a plus.
- Effective communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Technological competency—ability to learn and use technology effectively.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; may require extensive time in a vehicle.
