About the role
Lab Assistant in Portland, OR, supporting clinical laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical specimens for testing
- Scanning and data entry of specimen and patient information
- Performing minor maintenance on lab equipment and troubleshooting specimen issues
- Replenishing supplies and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Completing record logs and administrative duties following SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in laboratory, healthcare, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and accurately identifying specimens
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, ability to sit/stand for extended periods, and pass a color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
