Part-Time Labor and Delivery Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the RN scope, utilizing therapeutic communication to ensure a safe environment.
• Assess and address individual patient needs, demonstrate age-specific knowledge, and follow the nursing process for documentation and care planning.
• Perform technical skills, adhere to procedures, and demonstrate critical thinking.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and promote the hospital's mission and vision through coordinated care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree from an accredited nursing program (B.S. or A.S.).
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience; Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Current licensure by the applicable state board.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, NRP, AWHONN levels, and CPI training within six months.
• Key Attributes: Critical thinking, technical proficiency, confidentiality, patient-centered care.
