Part Time Janitor in Geismar

About the role

We’re looking to hire a hard-working Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the plant in Geismar, LA. The role requires the proper and safe use of ServiceMaster approved products, tools, procedures, and equipment in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done. Must contribute to a positive work climate by displaying a pleasant attitude, embracing our corporate culture and values, and being dependable, punctual, and in uniform.

Must have an up-to-date TWIC and dependable transportation at all times.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the buildings, including outlying buildings, common areas, offices, and restrooms.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and break areas, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and quality standards established by the company and regulatory authorities.
• Use proper PPE where required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in janitorial services.
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment.
• Excellent stamina and physical health; able to lift 25 lbs.
• Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Strong work ethic with high attention to detail.
• Must pass background checks and drug screen.
