Part-time Instructor (Pool) - MSN Didactic

Position Summary

The Austin Peay State University School of Nursing is seeking qualified part-time Instructors to teach various Master’s level, online nursing courses. Each course in the curriculum has been developed and approved by the MSN curriculum committee. Courses taught meet the requirements for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Nurse Education concentrations. Availability of teaching assignments vary based on each semester’s enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Teach online Master’s level nursing courses that meet the requirements for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Nurse Education concentrations.
• Develop and maintain course materials in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback through regular communication and evaluations.
• Participate in faculty meetings and other professional development activities as required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience teaching at the graduate level preferred.
• Ability to teach asynchronously online.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Family Nurse Practitioner or related field.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices and standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using online learning management systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
