Part Time Instructor Pool - Microbiology

About the Role
Under administrative leadership, part-time faculty perform tasks supporting the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, and assignment-specific needs.
Applications are accepted year-round and kept in the hiring pool for one year. Candidates may be contacted for interviews as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in Microbiology courses
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
- Develop and update curriculum as needed
- Advise students on academic and career matters
- Participate in professional development activities
- Fulfill assignment-specific requirements
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Microbiology or equivalent qualifications
- If applying under equivalency, submission of an Equivalency Determination Form is required
Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a classroom setting.
Pay
Starting salary range: $70.84 – $86.11 per hour (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1), based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule.
