Part Time Instructor Pool - Center For Water Studies
Under administrative leadership, part-time faculty are responsible for supporting the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum development, student advising, professional development, and any assignment-specific tasks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom instruction in water/wastewater technology or related subjects.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Develop and update curriculum as needed.
- Advise students on academic and career matters.
- Engage in professional development activities.
- Fulfill any additional duties specific to the assignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Public Administration, or a closely related field and two years of experience in the water/wastewater industry, public works industry, or a closely related field;
- OR Associate’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Public Administration, Water/Wastewater Technology, or a related field and six years of experience in the water/wastewater industry, public works industry, or a related field;
- OR the equivalent. If applying under equivalency, an Equivalency Determination Form must be submitted with the application.
Working Conditions
Faculty positions may require long periods of standing and walking in a typical classroom setting. Specific conditions may vary by subject taught.
Pay
Starting salary range: $70.84 - $86.11 per hour (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload, and Substitute Salary Schedule. View the complete salary schedule.
