Part-Time Instructor, English (Outreach Locations)

Essential Functions

• Teach assigned courses in Comp. I and II, transfer curriculum, and/or developmental composition.
• Teaching assignments may include evening courses and teaching via alternative delivery systems, such as Zoom and ITV.
• Assignments may include face-to-face teaching at various local high school locations and travel to McPherson and/or Newton Outreach locations.
• High school semesters may extend beyond the HutchCC academic calendar.
• Plan and implement appropriate activities to supplement instruction.
• Plan, revise, and update curricula as assigned by the department chairperson.
• Maintain records and files as requested by the department, including submitting grades in a timely manner.
• Log on to the learning management system daily, respond to emails regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary Functions

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the department chairperson, the Outreach Center Coordinator, Associate Director of Outreach, or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
