Part Time Instructor/Choreographer - Auditions

About the role

You’re the Queen (or King!) Bee of every DivaDance class, teaching clients original choreography to songs ranging from Bey to Biebs. Our classes are for all levels and follow a consistent DivaDance format. Our ideal candidate has a big personality, experience creating choreography and teaching adults, and is super responsive via phone/text. Flakes or last-minute excuse-makers need not apply! This is a great role for someone who wants to earn extra Venmo or manicure money while doing what they LOVE.

Responsibilities

• Teach original choreography to adult students in DivaDance classes.
• Follow a consistent DivaDance format for each class.
• Work with a consistent group of students, building a community within the classes.
• Use a big personality and engaging teaching style to motivate and inspire students.
• Be responsive via phone/text to ensure smooth class operations.
• Complete the online Instructor Development Program before teaching your first class.
• Participate in Membership Sales online trainings as part of your role.

Requirements

• Experience teaching and choreographing for adults.
• Bonus points for former dance team/drill team/cheerleaders experience.
• Super responsive via phone/text.
• Big personality and engaging teaching style.

Qualifications

• Ability to create original choreography for adult students.
• Availability to teach 2-3 classes per week in the evenings and daytimes.
• Reliable transportation to travel between DivaDance studios in Castle Hills and the UTSA areas, potentially including additional locations in the Boerne/Stone Oak/Bulverde areas.

Skills

• Strong communication skills, particularly via phone/text.
• Ability to engage and motivate adult students.
• Experience teaching and choreographing for adults.

Pay

Compensation starts at $30 per class + team bonuses based on business performance and your class quality.

Schedule

We are looking for you to teach 2-3 classes per week in the evenings and daytimes. You can expect to teach at our studios in Castle Hills and the UTSA areas, possibly adding locations in the Boerne/Stone Oak/Bulverde areas, and should have reliable transportation to get there for classes!
