Part-Time Inpatient LPN
About the Role
Provide direct nursing care within the emergency department, collaborating with healthcare teams to implement and document individualized care plans across diverse age groups. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, maintain patient safety, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment. Assist with tests, procedures, emergency measures, and routine treatments, including oxygen therapy, IV setup, and medication administration (excluding IV push). Support patient education, discharge planning, and environmental safety. Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills. Document accurately in medical records and promote patient participation in care. Follow safety protocols, report concerns, and maintain equipment and supplies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program and completion of IV education training
- Current LPN license in NM or reciprocal agreement
- CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work with biohazardous materials
- Preferred bilingual skills in English and Spanish or local languages
- No minimum experience required, but one year of related experience is advantageous
