About the role
Visiting Angels of Richardson is hiring caregivers to serve clients in the North Texas area, including Addison, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, The Colony, Rockwall, Mesquite, Forney, and more. This role involves enriching the quality of life for clients through various tasks such as assisting with physical activities, meal preparation, housekeeping, reporting health changes, providing companionship, and accompanying clients during errands.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
- Planning and preparing meals with clients
- Handling light housekeeping duties
- Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
- Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
- Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
- Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
- Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
- Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle
- Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
- Reliable transportation to client homes
- Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties
- Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards

- Physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and supporting a client
- Confidence in handling various household duties
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
