Part-Time Histotechnician

Role: Histotechnician responsible for processing tissue and body fluid specimens, preparing histopathological slides, and ensuring quality control in a diagnostic laboratory setting. Key Responsibilities Process human tissue and fluid specimens for microscopic analysis.Section embedded tissue using a microtome and mount on slides.Perform immunohistochemical tests and routine staining procedures.Operate and maintain manual and automated laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance.Accurately record test results, document equipment logs, and follow quality control protocols. Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree in Histology or related biological/chemical sciences.At least 1 year of recent histology experience or completion of a certification program.Ability to pass a color blindness test.Proficiency in computers and laboratory information systems.Physical ability to meet position demands and work evening shifts.Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
