Part Time Guest Room Attendant

About the role

A Laundry Attendant ensures a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel by organizing, cleaning, and sorting hotel linens, including sheets and towels. This position also involves using provided cleaning materials to address items requiring extra attention.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines.
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
• Monitor feeder information on washers, ensure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
• Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
• Lift clean, wet articles from the washer and place them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
• Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.
• Fold and place items in an appropriate storage bin.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment and surrounding work area.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular scheduled basis.

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
