Part Time Front Desk Administrative Assistant

About the role
The Guest Relations/Patient Family Service Specialist provides high-level customer service support to patients, families, and visitors throughout facilities. This role supports the Patient and Family Experience while ensuring visitors are properly screened, approved, and guided to their destination.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors
- Perform visitor check-in and health screening processes
- Utilize the Visitor Management System to verify visitor status and issue visitor badges
- Access Epic to confirm visitor authorization
- Assist patients and families with wayfinding throughout the hospital
- Professionally de-escalate difficult situations involving patients, visitors, and family members
- Maintain the orderly and efficient operation of the hospital's Visitor Management Program
- Support a positive patient and family experience across the organization
Requirements
- One year of administrative or clerical experience in a customer service environment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Education (a relevant Associate's or Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis)

- Experience handling difficult situations and de-escalation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a hospital environment
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
- Able to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced setting
- Experience working with patients, families, or visitors in healthcare or hospitality settings (preferred)

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
