Part Time Food Service Worker - North Elementary

About the role

North Elementary School is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Worker to support the daily preparation and delivery of school food service to students. This position works 17.5 hours per week in a role where you can feel valued for your contributions to the community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food daily in the cafeteria following planned menus and uniform recipes.
• Utilize various recipes, proportions, and ingredients based on estimated serving needs.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, graters, choppers, steam tables, and ovens to prepare, cook, and serve meals.
• Wash dishes and equipment, and assist in maintaining a clean work area.
• Determine the quality of food served and prepare meals under the direction of the Food Service Manager.
• Set up food serving lines and control food line activity to ensure orderly and efficient meal service.
• Store and care for food in accordance with health guidelines.
• Accept money, tickets, or other forms of payment for food and beverage service as assigned.
• Perform all necessary cleaning tasks to support the operation of the lunch program.
• Take and record food temperatures daily.
• Complete assignments in coordination with the Food Service Manager and in cooperation with the CNP District Supervisor.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with Google Docs and frequent email use.
• Willingness to learn and use all required computer systems and software.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and job performance.
