Part Time Food Server

Primary Responsibilities

• Greets, seats, and provides food and beverage service for residents and guests in the dining-room.
• Serves meals following established service standard techniques; Manages resident to-go meals and delivery per Community standards.
• Busses and cleans tables after each course; Cleans and sanitizes the dining room in preparation for the next shift.
• Assists in the set-up, service, and breakdown of resident functions held in the private dining room or other common areas.
• Responds to resident questions, needs, and concerns; provides comment cards for residents. Reports all compliments and complaints to Dining Services Director.
• Assists dishwasher in storing clean dishes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Amazing customer service skills; Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults.
• Ability to follow established food service practices, ability to perform all aspects of host, busser, and food server functions.
• Ability to take and submit food orders within established policies.
• Ability to manage time effectively and remain productive throughout shift.
• Ability to use good interpersonal skills when interacting with Residents, family members, visitors and co-workers.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
