About the Role

Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and employee availability as variable‑hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher.

Responsibilities

• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Handling of emergency situations when called upon.
• General cleaning duties.
• Compliance with the company dress code.
• Box Office
  • Operate the POS system and maintain accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons.
  • Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and guest inquiries consistent with the guest service philosophy.
• Concession
  • Operate the POS system and maintain accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession‑related equipment.
  • Upsell and suggestively sell concession items.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food‑safety laws.
  • Abide by federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • If the theatre sells alcohol and duties include selling/serving, be of legal age to do so according to state or local laws.
• Required to read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
• Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film/content theft, and help maintain a safe environment.
  • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
  • Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby areas, hallways, and other public spaces.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and box‑office cashier, or progress toward completion. If alcohol is sold, completion of any legally required state or local training and the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
• Language Ability: Good public speaking, effective listening, and clear, direct responses.
• Math Ability: Perform calculations quickly and accurately; identify and correct errors.
• Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate alternatives, and reach evidence‑based conclusions; take proactive action and perform under pressure.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers, and management; ability to set goals, budget time, and prioritize to achieve objectives.
• Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, and hear; occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally lift up to 60 lb; vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
