PART-TIME FLOATER
About the role
Mission: The mission of First Steps, Inc. is to educate and care for children with special needs and medical conditions alongside their typically developing peers in inclusive environments and support their families. As a Part-Time Floater at First Steps, you will help provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for children with and without developmental delays and disabilities in a classroom setting. Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers as needed in absence of regularly scheduled teacher.
- Assist classroom teachers during critical/transitional times.
- Be familiar with needs of each child enrolled in the Center.
- Help classroom teachers in making appropriate adaptions for children with special needs.
- Assist classroom teachers in ensuring classroom designs and operations meet TN State Licensing Standards, the 3-Star Rating Program and Tennessee’s Early Learning Standards.
- Perform willingly any other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working with young children

Pay
Approximately $17.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
Schedule
Hours of the position: 12:30-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. Expected hours: 25 per week.
