Part Time - Flight Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled nurse to provide care for Life Flight patients, following Act 37 standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care from initial contact until transfer to a medical facility.
• Maintain thorough patient documentation in Electronic Medical Records.
• Practice within the scope defined by state, BEMS, and organizational guidelines, and maintain competency through ongoing training.
• Communicate educational needs and participate in continuing education.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and aircraft interior, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Serve as a flight crew member, assisting pilots, and participating in mission briefings and debriefings.
• Participate in specialty transports such as ECMO and NICU, and act as a clinical resource and preceptor.
• Adhere to safety standards to ensure safety during all flight phases, and contribute to safety education programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist in emergency situations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Critical care nursing experience (minimum three years).
• Certification in CCRN, CEN, CFRN, or CTRN; CFRN required within one year of orientation.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and tolerate exposure to aircraft environment, noise, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
• Graduate certification in nursing.
• Demonstrated professionalism, safety awareness, and teamwork skills.

Schedule

Part‑time role involving 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with occasional travel.
