Part Time - Flight Registered Nurse

Seeking a skilled nurse to provide care for Life Flight operations, adhering to Act 37 standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care from initial contact to transfer of the patient to medical facilities.
• Maintain thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
• Practice within the scope of practice, maintaining competency through ongoing education.
• Communicate educational needs and participate in safety and safety education programs.
• Manage equipment, supplies, and maintain aircraft and ground ambulance interiors.
• Serve as a flight crew member, assist pilots, and participate in pre‑ and post‑mission activities.
• Support specialty team transports such as ECMO and NICU, ensuring safety standards during flight.
• Mentor and precept new staff, and contribute to performance appraisals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum three years of critical care nursing experience.
• Specialty certification such as CCRN, CEN, CFRN, or CTRN required upon hire; CFRN to be obtained within one year.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in aircraft environments with exposure to noise, fumes, and variable temperatures.
• Effective communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in dynamic environments, including aircraft and hangar settings, with travel as needed.

Schedule

Part‑time position with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
