Part Time Field Service Technician
About the role
Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Part Time Field Service Technician in the Wichita Falls, TX area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon). The territory consists of 40+ kiosks and number of hours per week is around 20 - 30.
This role is based on experience, usually paying $20 an hour. Company car will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles.
Responsibilities
- Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule)
- Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order
- New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area
- Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues
- Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession
- Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred)
- Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred)
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred)
- Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical “jargon”
Skills
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
- Ability to work weekends when required

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work Environment: Sales/Service Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required.
Physical Demands: Sales/Service Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
