Evaluation, Diagnosis, and Treatment
- Evaluate acute illnesses and injuries
- Diagnose and treat episodic and chronic conditions
- Manage walk-in and same-day appointments
- Treat minor office procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, and orthopedic splinting
- Perform physicals including sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual evaluations
- Evaluate patients for workers' compensation injuries
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in providing patient care as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Master’s degree (Family Nurse Practitioner) and appropriate state license required
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens, and related compliance standards
- Detail-oriented and confident in medical best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence with common PC applications, Microsoft Office, and EMR applications
- Experience with occupational health practices including DOT qualification, drug testing protocols, and physicals
- Respect and autonomy in decision-making
- Team-based approach to patient care
Key Skills
