Part Time Family Assistant

Compensation: $19-$23 an hour Start Date: October 26, 2026 flexible start date Schedule: Schedule is flexible and will be given in advance. Availability needed is generally 8:00am – 12:00pm, 2 to 3 days a week ranging from Monday – Friday. Occasionally evenings and weekends as needed. Position Description: A sweet family in Lexington, KY, is looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced part-time Family Assistant to help care for their home and occasionally provide childcare for their two children. The ideal candidate is dependable, communicative, and enjoys keeping a household organized and running smoothly while the children are in daycare and the parents are at work. Primary responsibilities include managing laundry for the entire family, including washing, folding, and putting clothes away, as well as general housekeeping and organization throughout the family’s two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. This includes vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, and keeping all rooms and common areas, especially the living room and kitchen, neat and tidy. The Family Assistant will also help with basic meal prep as needed, such as taking frozen meat out to thaw for the family, and grocery shopping at the Kroger located directly across the street, including putting groceries away. The family would also love someone who is occasionally available to help with childcare in the evenings or on weekends. This may include caring for their infant and toddler by assisting with feeding, diaper changes, and engaging the children in fun, age-appropriate activities.
