Part-Time Faculty: MFT 760 Practicum in Marriage & Family Therapy I (Spring 2026)

About the role

Marriage and Family Therapy is seeking a part-time instructor to teach MFT 760: Practicum in Marriage & Family Therapy I in the Spring 2026 (1/12/2026-4/27/2026) semester. This is the first course of four required courses in supervised clinical practice in Couple and Family Therapy for students in the Marriage and Family Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group systemic/relational clinical supervision for a practicum lab section with a maximum of 5 students.
• Determine and assess progress toward students’ clinical goals, review and sign supervisees case documentation and tracking logs.
• Document in writing and share concerns with supervisee.
• Provide reports of concerns to the MFT department as needed.
• Complete end of the semester evaluations in collaboration with supervisees and report on progress to the MFT 761.
• Provide supervision coverage one evening per week in the Couple and Family Therapy Center.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree and license in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• AAMFT Approved Supervisor credential or AAMFT Approved Supervisor candidacy required.
• Graduate level teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records system(s) (preferably Titanium) is preferred.
