Part-Time Faculty - Medical Radiography (Central)

About the role

Teaching Medical Radiography related course work. Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location. Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Radiography coursework.
• Possibly teach evening and weekend classes.
• Adapt to various delivery methods as needed.
• Provide instruction requiring physical presence at on-site location when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Radiography.
• Valid ARRT certification in radiography.
• Valid license issued by the Texas Medical Board.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a staff radiologic technologist.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Preferred: Certification in an advanced modality/modalities (CT, MRI, Mammo, CI).
• Preferred: Medical Radiography teaching experience.

Pay

Salary Grade: AH. Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.

Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and work for the duration of the assigned course. Teaching assignments may include evening classes and possibly weekend classes.
