Part-Time Faculty - Licensed Vocational Nursing Program

About the role

The Mendocino College is seeking a Part-Time Faculty in the Licensed Vocational Nursing Program. This position reports to the Director of the Licensed Vocational Nursing Program, the Dean of Career Education, and the Assistant Dean of Health Careers.

Responsibilities

• Instructs in a full range of courses in the Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) Program
• Edits in varied environments including the skills lab, clinical setting, online (using Canvas), and/or lecture
• Conducts classes and finals as included in the schedule of classes
• Prepares classroom presentations, student activities, and assignments
• Teaches class hours; works with the LVN Program Director to evaluate students' performance based on quizzes, exams, projects, comprehensive finals and/or other assessments appropriate to the course outline
• Reports on time and prepared for classes
• Posts and maintains student contact hours
• Maintains current knowledge of the discipline and teaching practices
