Part-time Faculty, Health Services - Remote

The Department of Leadership, Management, and Human Capital in the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology at National University invites applications for part-time faculty in Health Services. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of, or potential for, excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. This position primarily works closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.

Location: Remote, USA (open to CONUS, AK, and HI; SC excluded).

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
• Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
• Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
• Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in the field of Health Services or related field from a regionally accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of higher education teaching experience.
• Experience serving on doctoral dissertation committees.
• Dissertation chair experience.
• Evidence of ongoing scholarly activity (e.g., peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, scholarly research).
• Experience mentoring doctoral students.
• Professional health services certifications (e.g., FACHE, CMM, CPH, CPHRM).
• Online doctoral teaching experience.
• Experience with qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research.

Pay

Hourly: $26.63 – $28.89
