Overview

Umpqua Community College (UCC) seeks a part-time Cultural Anthropology Instructor to join its faculty team. Teaching at UCC is an opportunity to inspire learners, foster community engagement, and provide meaningful, high-impact educational experiences. This role involves teaching assigned courses using effective instructional strategies, integrating technology such as Canvas, and actively engaging students in the learning process. Faculty will also contribute to curriculum improvement and collaborate with colleagues across campus.

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology or equivalent, per State of Oregon requirements.
  • Preferred:

    • Minimum 3 years of community college teaching experience.
    • At least 5 years of verifiable experience in the field.
    • Experience with online instruction; classroom teaching experience desirable.
